You are in front of the mini open-air railway museum with the unique TKt48-124 steam locomotive. Among others, such locomotives were once stationed in the Zagórz locomotive depot. The mini open-air museum was created as part of the project entitled “We are opening the gates of the Carpathian Mountains. The cultural heritage of the Carpathian Arc in a new form”. The Zagórz local government for PLN 100 purchased a historic steam locomotive from the Polish State Railways. It was later renovated thanks to co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund under the Interreg Poland - Slovakia program. A special square with a car park was prepared to place the locomotive, creating a beautiful place that commemorates the participants of the heroic defense of the railway infrastructure of the Zagórz town in November 1918. You can also visit the website www.cpkzagorz.pl, where you can virtually see the engine driver's booth and learn about the history of the defenders of the Zagórz railway junction in 1918.
